How do I get photos on the Gallery?

Over the years I have seen many wonderful photos on the Gallery. This is the Random Photos that pass by, when you go to the start at the FORUM. These photos don't seem to change much over time. Maybe they where a part of the PHOTO CONTEST, which no longer runs. Anyone have an answer?

Click on "Media" -- click on "add media" -- scroll down to "Albums" to creat your own, or just add your photo to one of the catagories.
I have not done it, but seems pretty simple?
How the "scrolling" photos works - I do not have a clue at the moment?
