Ground Throws?

Who makes groundthrows that look like the prototype ones that look like one half of a bow and are painted yellow.

Google only turns up pages and pages of Caboose industries ground throws.

Thanks.

Sounds like you are referring to a harp-style, which was an old, old style, primarily used to throw the moveable rails for a stub switch (turnout). Instead of the turnout having moveable points, the rails leading into the diverging tracks moved to point at the desired route.

Unfortunately, I don't know of a source for such a model. Might have to built them yourself. To see some full size harp stands go to http://timfloodrr.com.

They make them in HO, but I don't think they are operational.

Are you looking for the ones with lanterns? Phil
