We would not allow Comcast e-mails, since Comcast had blocked the forum e-mails. That meant you were unable to confirm your registration or get notifications, password resets etc. Without a working e-mail, you would not even be able to have account approved since you couldn't get the confirmation e-mail. So it wasn't that we don't like Comcast, but rather that they weren't compatible with the forum mail system.

Keep in mind, you can very easily get alternate e-mails. Gmail, Yahoo, etc will all provide a free e-mail account.
