Burlington Route U28B's --utilization era

I can't find much in the way of reference in my library. When did the GE U28B's operate on the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy railroad? In spite of the "Q's" preference for EMD diesels, they apparently did use the GE motors. I model mostly up to 1960, but I can stretch things a bit. I'd like to know how much of a stretch it will be. Thanks.

Thanks! While stretching my era a bit, I had a chance to pick up a Proto2000 at a pretty good discount, including DCC/Sound. It's in the Chinese Red/Gray paint scheme, which came later than the earlier gray over black. I'll jump to BNSF in an SD60M for younger visitors who only see those trains along the Front Range going through Denver toward Colorado Springs and south.
