I don't think it's boring at all. Dub over a second sound track like I said, that should hold the viewers attention. I'm doing a 100 car video soon DJ and you'll see the whole 100 cars go by. Now you can cancel the video after the engines go by but you'll be missing out on some interesting loads and sounds.

I've done the dubbing to real trains over the model trains. Check my YouTube video channel: EasternSP Rails and look at the San Diego Model Railroad museum video.
You want to use your own sound track so you aren't violating copyright of someone else's recording if you post it on YouTube.
 
I record the west side CSX freight trains as they pass under the old NH bridge across the Hudson in Poughkeepsie, NY. Lots of strange sounds come from the cars as they pass by.
