I can't show much progress on the Garden RR FAQ, but I haven't been entirely idle this week.
The Husband raises ferns, cycads, and other tropical plants. About 20 years ago we threw together a "temporary" frame to support shade cloth. The frame was about to collapse and take with it all the plants that hung from its rafters.
#1 shows the condition of one of the uprights. No, the wood wasn't painted green --- it's discolored by the constant moisture.
#2 is the view through the arbor, looking south, before demolition
#3 shows the new framing with shade cloth back in place.
