That is a great video and the DVD also includes Above 3751 Over Cajon which follows the steam engine from LA to Barstow.
Also Google Earth is a great program to view cities and such. http://earth.google.com/
My mobile workbench which I mounted a piece of plywood on top of a cart. Also added a work lamp, electric outlet on the side and some pieces of pegboards on the sides.
The note taped to the white box says Pete under Josh. I had to prove to my classmates that indeed it was my models so what better way then put their names on the side of the train.
Thanks for the comments guys and thanks for suggestions Peter. I'm going to have to try that. I have to get my track back together to take more videos.
New Video
It's been awhile since a new video. So here's a short one. I'm working on scenery so I can take more videos. The sound for this video is from a video I took of an actual train. Listen for the air pressure release.

Wiring
Since the gate is isulated from the rest of the layout it needs to be powered.
Here is a DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) switch under the gate used to change the polarity of the tightest leg of the wye. That leg is in a block which means it's isulated from the rest of the trackwork...
