I have a package of resistors that are marked as 1000 ohm. They meter at 1000 ohms as well. But, I'm confused as to the color bands. Typically a 1000 ohm resistor has color bands brown / black / red. How is this resistor read (brown / black / black / brown / brown) ? .... I'm thinking brown...

I'm planning on doing an EMD Leasing SD40-2 in the solid blue with white nose (number 6047). Any idea what would be an accurate blue to use on this unit ? Thanks, Mark.

Wondering if anyone has ever painted a Southern Pacific black widow on an F-unit ? I noticed the Microscale decal set only goes up to the headlight (silver) and the rest of the nose needs to be painted silver and blended in to match the decal. IF anyone has done this, what silver did you use...
