Theses pictures were taken in the Valmont Industrial Park in Hazelton Pa. I was trying to go home but the train had other ideas. These were taken in January.

I was working in Kingston Pa last week and came across this old signal. If you zoom in on the 3rd pic you can just make out the black diamond bridge.

Check the motor mounts. It appears the mounts aren’t fully pushed into the frame.

The original wheels measure .722” which I covert to 62”. The new wheels are.825”, 71”. The flanges on the original drivers are falling apart. I would have preferred to keep them but they are not salvageable. For economical reasons I am using the larger wheels.

After watching your I believe you have a loose connection somewhere. . When the unit looses power the head light dims. In my opinion when the unit is in the turns the motor is shifting enough to break the to the frame. I would change out the motor mounts to the type that screw in on the bottom...

The $10,000 question… Can I use alcohol or some type of solvent to remove the contaminated clear coat or will have have to go all the way back to bare metal? I hope I can just remove the clear coat but I have a feeling I’ll be taking it back to bare metal.
