I have inherited an extensive collection of bound volumes ranging from 1948 to 2000. In addition, there are a few other hobbyist publications, calendars, posters, etc. I would like to give this to an interested party and get my garage back. I have gauged interest locally w/o success.

Where are you located. That makes a big difference in getting to you. I'm a member of the Madison County Historical Society in Anderson IN and we have a rather large set of layouts in the basement. We give away magazines.

Old magazines are sorta like dentures. They mean a lot to you but nobody else wants them.

I would look to a local recycler.

You might look for a veterans' nursing home or other retirement facility, The only problem with that is that there wouldn't be an actual layout for the residents to work on based on some of the articles in the magazines. Of course, if there was room, you might volunteer to help build a small layout that the residents could participate in.
