Louis - Regarding your health, is it possible that some medications are interfering or reacting negatively with others? I used to know a fellow that took 13 prescriptions a day and claimed that he felt lousy all of the time. On a whim one week, he quit taking all of them. He claimed that he hadn't felt so good in years. About three or four weeks later, he visited his doctor who freaked out about what he did. Part of the doctor's issue (he didn't admit to) was most of the drugs were tier 4 or 5 ones that he got a substantial kickback from. However, he did look at all of them and determind that there were some that didn't perform well together and put together a whole new plan. The fellow started taking all of them and eventually felt bad again, although not as badly as before. He was also a bit of a hypochondriac so part of this was his own fault. This is not meant to infer that you are a hypochondriac, just check to see if medications are all compatible.
I better quit practicing medicine today! It's time to get the rest of our stuff out of the car.
Everybody have a great day and an excellent weekend.
Hey
Willie!
I've been taking the same medications (12 pills a day) for years, long before I worked with Amazon. I would not think they are the problem, but I will bring it up to my doctors. Wait, I'm wrong, I did start taking a calcium blocker about 2 years ago. They were considering taking me off of it because my blood pressure has significantly improved. Every bad thing brings some thing good!
I refuse to take any medication that is not already available as a generic, let somebody else be the Guinee pig. I don't know about tiers, but my monthly bill for all medications is $5.54. (I only pay 20% the insurance pays the other $27.70)
For the record I don't see you as practicing medicine. Sharing experiences is always a good thing, thank you.
To be perfectly honest, I think I've been deceiving myself. Taking a day off between working is not doing yard work and other strenuous chores. I am my own worst enemy. I have refused to go backwards after returning to work, but my body has had other plans.
Doctors tell me it takes me much longer to dissipate the Creatinine my muscle mass generates. My normal Creatinine runs between 1000-1100 and has been stable for over 10 years. A normal person would have under 30. It sounds bad but the kidney specialists tell me that is ok for me due to the amount of muscle mass I have and my highly elevated metabolism. If I don't eat much for a day I can lose 5-10lbs. I lost 2.4lbs last night while sleeping.
According to the doctors and some sophisticated machine they hooked me up to for over an hour, I burn approximately 210 calories per hour at rest. The result was so high that they ran the test 3 times on 3 separate days, of course all on my dime, with the same result. They tell me it is because of my hard work and play for so many years. My heart rate ranges between 45-60 normally a tick or 2 over 50. My heart is one of the things I have no problems with. Despite doing next to nothing for over 10 years!
Fortunately my kidneys have not gotten worse and I am only at stage 2. My pancreatitis remains in remission. My weight has stabilized some what recently. My A1C is down to 7.1 from 9.0 (too many cookies) and I am doing better.
I am a freak of nature, but none the less thankful for all my blessings and happily carry my minor burdens. I thank God for everything.
It's high time accept my condition and learn to minimize my problems, regardless of how much I want to do otherwise. I'm working on it and I will do it, I refuse to lose! My primary doctor helped, he said "when you think of doing something, think of your grandsons first'
Thanks again Willie
it's comforting to me to know there are people who care. For most of my life I thought I was all alone with my back to the wall. Just another example of what a fool I have been.
