Re-working an old diarama

Got this diorama few years ago from Anton. It was a lot shorter and not as deep then. Been redoing it this weekend. Progress so far.

Here is the original diorama. Found some older pictures of it also.

Oh wow. I think the one thin that bothered me the most is the lack of depth that made the original line so close to the cliff (constraints of the bookshelf this was made for).

Anton, I had the same problem you had with it. Getting close enough as to not show the edge of the boards. So I made it a full 3' X 2'. I redid the road and stream bed last night to get rid of the water marks. Tonight if all goes well, I hope to get the water poured into the stream. Then I will just have to fit the 2 bridges in and track and ballast the tracks.

I poured my creek tonight. I'll need to get that acrylic medium to make some waves tomorrow.

Added water texture using Woodland Scenics Water Waves tonight. I really like the subtle waves it makes.

Pretty much finished up with the diorama. I will try some outdoor pictures tomorrow.

Gray and cloudy out today, but it's a better picture than indoors.
