More time to enter photo contest?

I’ve noticed that the entries to the photo contest tend to come in a flurry at the end of the month. So I was wondering if we went to a system similar to the photo assignment category next door would help those of you that require a little more time to set up the photo shoot, or deal with film that would need to be developed.

The way that it would work would be we would have a topic a month in advance so you would have 2 months to get the shot to enter. We won’t have the same restriction of when the picture was taken as in the assignment contest (pictures taken at any time are OK), but since the topics I choose sometimes require you to “railfan” your layout, a little more time might help.

Well since all my MR stuff is in the construction stage anything I could post would have to be staged. like painting some PEEPS, Buildings, trains ect and building a stage with scenery to photograph them. The extra time opens new possibilities, great idea.

I have to admit that procrastination is my middle name, but the extra time might give me the incentive to get off my duff and actually set a goal to DO something out there.

How about "Simple Train Set"? Nothing but track and the train! That way I'd finally be able to submit something with at least a 1% chance of winning! ;)
