I'll see you there saturday. Got 2 friends w/me. I was told it would only be Saturday. Is that because of the NMRA meet that it will be on sunday?

No it will be on both Sat & Sun....I am a member of SMRC...so yes it is both days!

James, I always buy stuff from the club tables. If you have any between the rails delayed Kadee magnets, I need about 12.

Ah! Day one was a success for SMRC.

I got to meet one the guys from this forum...Larry I am glad to have met ya! Thanks for dropping by and introducing yourself!

I did a little bit a shopping. My UPRR obtained some new rolling stock and 3 new units.

For rolling stock:

Bev-Bel Rock Island pullman green 40' Express Car Route of the Rockets

Bev-Bel Great Northern pullman green 40' boxcar circa 1950

Athearn KCS side braced 50' PD box car red

Athearn SP single dome 42' tank car (gasoline) yellow

Athearn ATW Atlantic & Western R.R. side braced 50' Box car

All came with Kadees, I will need to add weight and proto wheels and assemble 4 of them.

Then for the locos:

EMD Demonstrator GP-7 #100 Atlas

EMD Demonstrator GP-7 #200 Atlas

EMD GP30B Union Pacific #714B Custom Built from various parts including Athearn, Cannon, Details West etc. A very beautiful loco. I will be changing out the wheel sets though. I may consider powering it too. Got it for 45 bucks!

Thats it for my roster today...I will let you know how day 2 goes!

Well day 2 came to a close and as well the closing for this weekend's show. It was a great success. Attendance today was mostly families coming by after church and it was encouraging to see young families and children taking it all in. Not too many serious modelers today. I did not buy anything today not that I didnt see anything I liked...I was tapped out of $$$. Until next time! C-ya!

Plant City train show tomorrow the 15th. Starts at 9am.
I've got a bad cold, but if I'm alive tomorrow at 7am I'll be going. The last train show of the season for me & I need some stuff. About 50#'s of ballst & some between the rails magnets.
