12th Annual Model Train Festival Steams into Downtown Tacoma! December 26, 2007 through January 1, 2008
From miniature steam engines to tiny LEGO trains, the halls of the Washington State History Museum will be abuzz with the sights and sounds of model trains this holiday season. Join the fun at the museum's Twelfth Annual Model Train Festival and explore model train displays on every floor of the museum. Model train layouts will be provided by:

Puget Sound Model Railroad Engineers
Pierce County Lionel Club
Mount Rainer N-Scale
Kitsap Live Steamers
Mary's Big Circus
Clint Cannon's Kids Play G-Scale

Special programs for youngsters:
The Children's Museum of Tacoma will be on board offering playful opportunities for even the littlest visitors. Hear a train tale, play in a "box car" and create a colorful zoo train. Two days only: December 29-30, 10:00am to 3:00pm
Whether you're a model train enthusiast yourself or just someone who enjoys looking at the miniscule worlds of these diminutive engines, the Washington State History Museum is the place to be the last week in December. FREE with paid admission.
