Can anyone advise the manufacturer, the age of the HO 0-4-0T shown in the attachment, or any other information? The construction is mainly brass castings, raised lettering and riveting, with baked on enamel paint. It may have been kit bashed from the original. The motor is vertically mounted in the cab and drives the rear axle via a worm gear.
The prototype A.H. Peppercorn was an LNER 4-6-2 Pacific named after an LNER Chief Designer, so why that name on this little guy?

Looks something like some models that my father-in-law brought back from Japan in the early 70s.

It's a Ken Kidder "Plantation" circa '50's '60's! See Model Railroader Forum http://www.trains.com/community/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=26373
