I asked this question just before the Crash but it's gone so I'll ask it again! I ealize that it might be a while before the right people see it.
My question is: is the aristocraft sound system worth buying? I only have one loco, the RS3 and I don't want to make a mistake on the sound. So, does anyone have it and would you recommend it?

Dear Ross,
unfortunately I've not the space for large scale but I love to install sound-decoders in my H0 locos and I've done it a lot.
I don't know the Aristocraft sound system but I think it's no problem to install a sound system from an other manufacturer since you've a lot of space in your loco. For example see here:

There you can hear an sound example for your ALCO RS3 ! My tip is to use the maximum loudspeaker you can install the bigger the better especially for the deep frequencies!!!
On the WEB page from Aristocraft I've found a link to the Aristocraft forum. Maybe there you'll have more luck to find some!

Don't waste any $ on aristrocrap sound or loco's in my opinion. If you want a good sound system spend a little bit more money around $200 for a serria or phenix sound system. They sound great and have many functions that you can access.
