Awesome site, any chance I can get some of those scratch built wood chip gondolas?

Easy to read and easy to navigate. Pleasing to the eye and not too cluttered. All good choices for a website. Two thumbs up from me.

One thing I noticed (and just had to mention) is the "PVR" emblem on the front and rear of the engines with the "new" paint scheme. Something about that just struck me as very realistic and quite the attention grabber. It's a very nice touch.

Yeah, I can build you some but it will be probably this winter before I start building them again. I am in the process of moving to out new house and it will take me a little while to get my workshop built and set back up.

Thank you much for your great comments!!

Yeah, the PVR emblem is only on the new paint scheme. I think that is the thing I like the most about the new scheme also. I think for an updated scheme I will keep the engines painted the same but change the way the road number and name on the side look.

Cool, One would be fine, I'd end up making myself a mold from resin afterwards.

I'm working on a fictional, 50' version, with the history that, when Q&HS (my dad's Railroad) was coming into its prime, they were shipping hundreds of tons of copper by rail, with NUMEROUS boxcars. In the mid to late 80's it slowed down drastically, so a number of boxcars were converted to woodchip hoppers. At the same time they also converted a number of 3 bay hoppers no longer being used in mine service into taller woodchip hoppers. Being a northern railroad, there's lots of forest so it works.

But anyways, I want some of those cars on my railroad too...

That fictional boxcar sounds pretty cool. The only thing is it might not be fictional, it seems like if you look hard enough some little or big railroad somewhere always has a prototype for it.

As far as the 3 bay hoppers you do see them around with extended sides for hauling all sorts of lighter loads.

Good luck with them both, post some pics when you get around to working on them.

Didn't the MEC convert some steel AAR & Composite boxcars into pulpwood service?

Here's a traditional way to ship woodchips in a boxcar:

Here's some prototype sawdust cars (halfway down)

Both of them are very prototypical in a way, though I'll do it my own way, lol.
