So, its been 2 & a half weeks, 20 days actually, and STILL they have not even processed my order. Please do yourself a favor and learn from my mistake, when everyone says they suck, they SUCK! Avoid internettrains.com.

Josh,
Did they already bill your credit card? Even if they did, you can probably dispute the charge and have it taken off.
There was a long (10+ pages) thread about internettrains.com on the MR forum about 6 months ago, since then I've avoided them like the plague. Even if they're the only vendor with a highly coveted model in stock.

I would urge EVERYBODY to avoid InternetTrains.com, even if they have a rare item that you want in stock. Among their main problems are:
1. Listing an item as "in stock" when they really don't have it. After you supply your credit card number and complete the purchase, they will bill your card and a few days later you will automatically receive an email saying item has been shipped. In reality, they never send you anything, and they DO NOT REVERSE THE CHARGES on your credit card. What's worse, no one will contact you, and you have to wait for weeks before realizing the package never shipped. It's up to you to scan your credit card statement to see that they never refunded your money, either!
2. When they do have items in stock, it takes them a significant amount of time to ship them to you. When I had changed addresses last year, it had taken them so long to ship the package that it was actually sent to my OLD address and then returned back to Internet Trains. NO ONE, NOT ANYBODY, called me to inform me that the package had been returned. Several months had gone by, and the credit card had not been credited either. They keep my package, and they keep my money, hoping that as the months went by I would never notice.
Internet Trains is a lousy dealer, period, and should be avoided at all costs.

Here's a link to that MR thread I referred to above. I goofed, turns out it wasn't 10 pages long - only 8!:o

I ordered a ton (probably $70~$80 worth) of detail parts from Internet trains years ago, since it was the one place I could get everything I needed for the projects on my workbench at the time. IT was the only place that showed everything I wanted not only in their catalog but in stock, which was much better than placing orders around town and driving a couple hours to get the stuff. As it turned out, I received about half my order as ordered. The other half was substituted with packages of sand filler hatches and about a dozen brass airhorn packages, which turned out to be a type that wouldn't match even one of my eclectic interest in diesels. Needless to say, I haven't ordered from them again and instead prefer to do all my shopping at a local shop (Angelo Hobbies in Haltom City, Texas).

Well they have not billed me, so I lucked out there. And Walthers has the needed part in stock as of this past week, so I went ahead and ordered it there. I've seen a few of these threads, and thought I'd pass along that I have the same issue.

Ooh, that's shady! I agree - the *real* Discount Trains Online is very good to deal with.

Yeah man! I had my share of problems with them. How about, "...it's on the way from our warehouse, so we are waiting to ship all the order at once." Bull Crappy! Another two weeks????
They have always been slow, but the last couple of years they can't even be trusted.

Sounds good bob, I had not thought of that. Though it will require registering with buysafe.
