It says in the April 15, 1945 NYC E7 manual under General Data http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/manual/nyc-e7.html

The maximum negotiable curve - 274' radius

In HO scale that would be what radius?

37 inches by my reckoning.

274 divided by 87 x 12 for inches
Ken.

I guess that right Ken. So a HO engine can negotiate twice that at an 18 inch radius.

That's a great job trainman right down to the one hundreds of an inch. I have some time and space questions for you.
