I attended the WGH show at the Portland Expo center yesterday (February 17th) and came away with about 50 photos and $65 worth of stuff...
First, let's start with a couple of "overhead" shots:

As you can see, it appears that it is very well attended. There is a Hot Rod car show in another building on the Expo center property, so getting into the site and getting parked was pretty atrocious. Also not helping were multiple car wrecks on I-5 northbound, one right at the Expo Center exit.
Atlas didn't have much new to show, but they did have the prototypes of the Ford Fairmont sedan and station wagon in HO and N scale:

The Athearn booth probably had the most "NEW" stuff:
The F45/FP45 bodies (black photographs so well - not!):

More and detailed photos can be found "here." (http://www.shultzinfosystems.com/gallery/WGH_07)
The Ford F850 fire trucks made an appearance:

And the Model A's and F100s:

Athearn's version of the UP "stealth" goof paint job:

And Norfolk Southern's commonly seen Ghost/Stealth scheme:

RS Laserkits of Salem, OR had this comedic gem (although they claim to have heard of prototypes in Colorado where the first level gets snowed in):

The SP locomotive you can see through the bridge girders is a GP9... in Z scale. One of the club members is a design engineer at MicroTrains and brought this unreleased model along for the show. Wish I'd gotten a better photo of it:

All in all, it was a great show and my feet were hurtin' by the end of it.
All my photos, eventually with captions, can be found at http://www.shultzinfosystems.com/gallery/WGH_07

Thanks for posting these. Did you take any pictures at the Tower 55/Overland Models booth?
Thanks,
Sean

Sean,
Nope - they didn't have anything I hadn't already seen (lots of GEVOs) before. I was hoping they'd at least have a demo of the SD70ACe.

Nice photos Jeff, I sure wouldn't want to be on the first floor of that double when someone is occupying the second ~!!!!

With all of the hype on the WGH show that Ive heard, I was pretty excited to head down to attend. I was there for the 10am opening, and by about 10:45 I had pretty much hotlapped the show, and looked at the displays.
Overall I was pretty dissapointed. Not a real good swap meet at least for what I was looking for - HO items. Those that had a good HO selection of non-Tyco or early cheapo stuff were pretty proud of their stuff and the cost reflected that. Wasnt into paying $55 for an Athearn blue box SD40-2....
I did get a chance to bust the chops of the Athearn folks about when they were planning on retooling the GP9 and SD9 series - answer no time soon....

They're real, I've seen MANY in "Yooper land" (Upper Peninsula of Michigan). The snow there is BAD, lake effect is something you NEVER want to deal with if you're not used to snow.

That page has a similar style, fanciful version, however the double floor, double door was/is more common.
I'm going to have to look this product up and pass it along on my Yahoo Group "Upper Michigan Model Railroader".
Oh and thanks for the shots of the Athearn products, very nice!

There were no MP15ACs and I haven't seen that anyone asked about them either.
As for the RS Railkits info, I've got it at home, I'll see if I can remember to post it tonight.

Thanks for posting the updates/pics. I'll be attending the WGH '07 in Fort Worth next month. So now I know a few things to look for.
