New "Front Door" (Index Page)

I've added a new index page to the site, to go along with the new URL.

You might find it to be a handy starting place, it shows the 10 most recent posts, featured photos, some navigation buttons, etc. Have a look and see what you think. I'm open for comments and suggestions, I've already had a couple from the staff, and made a few minor upgrades.

can this be the page that opens when we use the link at the top of RRF? Now it links directly to the forums. Since I have RRF as my home page, I use the RRF link to get here.

Hey! I made it back to the new one! When I click the RRforum link at the top of this page I go to the old RRforum, and when I click the Model RRforum link there I get sent back to the old Model RRforum side. Seems "all roads lead backwards."

Hi Nate, are you sure it's the old sites? When I tried as you did, I got the index page telling me I was at the new RRforum url and clicking again at the top of that page I returned to this site's index page. Check it out again please to be sure

We've still got folks, including me at times, who are getting to the old server. The problem isn't the link, "railroadforums.com" is the right address. The problem is whether or not your ISP is in agreement with me on which server they should be using.

hmmm...rather odd...I was at the new forum only a few hours after it was up, but now I seem to be stuck back in time. I'm ok with the Model side now. I was referring to the Model Railroadforums link on the old site...it still pointed to "railroadforums.com/modelrrforum/index.php" instead of the new "modelrailroadforums.com" address...but that's just because it's the old site, where the model side was part of the railroadforum url.
