neat looking locomotive but was scrapped before the turn of the century hmm it was probably hard to fire judging from the size of the firebox and that was a good size boiler for the time. neat find though.

I'd assume it was more then "hard to fire" considering it was built for Central Pacific as a wood burner. Ii is pretty neat though.

If I ever get an inexpensive 4-10-2, I'll convert one (by removing the trailing truck) and name it "El Goobernator"....
