For Modelers In Southern California

Hello:

There is a new group on Yahoo by and for Southern California’s model railroaders. The group is called Model Railroads of Southern California.

This is a group for model railroad layout owners to share their progress, experiences, tips and techniques with each other and to gather on occasion to view, work on and operate each other’s layouts. Area model railroaders who are planning or building layouts also are welcome to participate.

Member layouts can be of any railroad, in any time period, and any geographic setting. However, the physical location of the layout should be in Southern California.

We also sponsor free layout tours. Our fourth tour of 2006 on September 23 will feature eight layouts in the Los Angeles/San Fernando area. Previous tours this year covered South Orange County, Riverside/San Bernardino and North Orange County.

This group opened just nine months ago and we already have over 340 members. Check out the group at:

Willis, I think the reason he posted, I mentioned on that yahoo group that I'm more active here, and also hinted at my tips website, I guess he just stopped buy to lure in any other SOCAL member's to there. I prefer hanging out here myself, much nicer, more organized, less spam (friggin yahoo)...
