As far as turbines go,I'd say N&W's JAWN HENRY,comes to mind,as does C&O's Turbine Locomotive. While both were built at the end of steam,they were still unique.William.

Yup, I agree. Not just as far as electrics go it was nearly the perfect locomotive in ever aspect. You neglected to mention low maintenance, and FAST. If we could have only electrified the entire US!
