I have 2 Bachman Engines new in box and about 8 Bachman cars also new in box. The Engine are Santa Fe diesels--one a B23 and the other a Warbonnet. I will send them with enough Atlas sectional track to make an oval and a power supply. I'll throw in a train station kit, a road crossing NIB, and a Crane Car all NIB.
This I will send to you free, if you are:
a) a kid that has been dying to get started with trains.
b) you know a kid that is dying to get into trains
c) You are an adult kid that has been dying to get into trains but can't justify the expense.
This is not for the person who already has a layout. I want this stuff to be appreciated.
Send me an email.

What a wonderful offer! Here's another idea if you don't get a taker: How about donating it to a kids' hospital ward or foster shelter, and get a group, scout troop for example, to adopt and maintain it (maybe with help from a service club)? Warm fuzzies all around.

I would appreciate it and I have a layout ;)
Claudia's idea is a good one. It might make a great Toys for Tots. I don't know if they have that program out your way, ours is done by the fire department.

I would love for my son to have this Chip, but maybe the others are right I bet a local hospital would love it.. but... if you would like to keep it here inside our comunnity I can understand and appreciate that too.. so I'll put my son Gareth's name in the hat respectfully

I'm in a small town. We don't have a hospital that would have a program like that. As for Toys for tots, it would be hit or miss. I'd like someone who will use it and appreciate it to get it.

I would ask for Troy, my girlfriends son, but we just bought him a set, hopefully we can get him to appreciate it. I understand what you mean as far as the Toys for Tots, For what you are giving/donating sounds like a decent starter layout. Hope you find someone, Coyote could get the virtual interchange going if his son took it ;)

Shame we can't find a victum of either hurricane that hit the gulf coast either had and now doesn't or something for someone who just needs something to get there mind off of it
Also A nursing home may jump at the offer as they have elder persons who would love to see a train at christmas.

Giving it away through a draw at a model show maybe?
That's how I got my IHC trainset. If it wasn't for it, I would lickely not be in modelling.

I Have a little idea on how to give away your train set. Giving it to a hospital is a good idea .But, unless it is under plastic it will not last long . maybe if you Have A Wish Foundation in your area you could give it to an ill child . If not a needy child would like it also . I'm sure the Salvtion Army could put you in touch with a child who would just cherish it . All the way on the L& L & W

Are you dying? You're being too generous lately....
I'd have to agree with giving it to a hospital, but be careful, and make sure it's well maintained. A freind of my dad's once built a small HO layout for a hospital, it fell into disrepair and is now stored....

If I get no takers for this it might end up on eBay. IT and a few other things will fund my next round of purchase fix.
