Hi all,
CBCNSfan asked me to share my treemaking work here, so here it is: I model the Great Northern Cascade Division in HO and that takes a lot of trees. Rather than repost the pix here, I've provided links to the trees and some of my model photos. How-to's are posted for the fir and deciduous trees.

Here's a link to some of my Cascade Division scenery work:

I hope you can use the tree modeling info.

Hi GN_fan, Thank you for posting the links. As I've said I admire your work on those trees and it's just too good a project to be sitting in a gallery while so many need a source of decent looking trees at a decent price. I believe your tree making methods fill that niche with a realistic looking tree for about 30 cents apiece. Thats pretty hard to beat. As for myself I'll certainly be trying your method for making the fir trees.

GN:

Great scenes and model trees. Not many modelers know how to capture the Pacific Northwest look, but you've got it down! Very nice work.

I just so happen to have bought a few bags of polly fiber. Time to hit the yard for material for the trees. Thanks!
