Greetings all,
While I currently live in Southeast Ohio, (Belmont County), I am loosely modeling C&NW operations in the Palatine - De Kalb, IL. area; circa mid-70s. The layout is freelanced and is semi-suburban and semi-agricultural- at least that is the way it looks in my mind. :)
So far, the benchwork, tracklaying and wiring is finished. I only have the scenery, buildings and super detailing to worry about- and those are my favorite aspects of the hobby- along with painting and weathering.
I am in my early 40s and have been model railroading on and off for most of my life; however, I am just getting back into it again after a record long 19 year hiatus. I am physically disabled and I am hoping it will prove to be good physical therapy for me.
All the best & God bless,
Sean C. :)
