Well no pics until tomorrow night for me, the Decals arrived for BNSF GP30 #2460. So i'm decaling tonight, dullcoating tomorrow, and getting ready to add the last few details I have here for it, and figure out what I'll need. So, pics tomorrow hopefully!
EDIT Scratch that, I'm out of Decal set and solvent, save that for next payday.
EDIT 2 Just doung some weathering and adding details to her, so I guess I can toss a pic or 2 on tomorrow...

All I need now is a horse or two. I'm kind of tickled with the way this turned out, especially considering what a mess it was to begin with. I replaced the roof, then coated the whole building with exterior clear wood finish after light cleaning with a wire brush.
The poles are almost straight now, and I managed to bevel the new roof slats enough to make the peak look "good enough for gov'ment work." The forge is an old rusty ice-cream scoop sprayed black that's sitting on a hose washer. The "coals" are lava rock that TH uses in the garden, and the "feed" in the trough is coarse gold-colored sand.The only thing missing is some itty-bitty tools (hammer, tongs, anvil?), and barriers (maybe chain?) across the "doorways" to keep the horses from wandering off.

Hi all. Yesterday LGM and I accompanied some friends on a road trip to Tuscaloosa, Al to fror a layout tour. To the owner, rexhea from trains.com, thanks so much for your invitation and for being such a gracious host. We had a blast! Now for the hot news, Rex has an AWESOME RR! The theme is local featuring Southern, GM&O, L&N, ect. It's construction is coming along nicely. The trackwork and completed scenery are first rate and a real pleasure to run trains thru. Rex and CJ (trains.com) have been very busy and it shows. Rex, send me a bill for all the locos LGM wore out while we were there. :D He loved every minute of it!
I'm trying to get these guys signed up here and have told them what an awesome forum this is.
Well, ya'll know I took a few pics. :D Without further delay, here we go.
OPS!!! Cjcrescent during a "Kodak moment"...

Jose gets an *** chewing from the First shift maintenance supervisor for his second screw up today. The "I don't know how it happened" story is getting old...

Eric;
great pics man. I'm still looking for who programmed that Challenger!!! :)
As you know I had dispatched it to bring out another loco for LGM, but I left the controller sitting at 1. It took about 3 minutes for that Challenger to do that. Looked cool as it did go into the pit at super slo mo. :D

Yep, talk about slow speed control!!! It's great to see you here, CJ. I think you'll find this to be the coolest forum for model railroading around.

Very nice photos Willis! WPF should be your motivation to get a new section done each week. ;)

Just a few more pics of some details added to #2460:
Pic one, look closely there's a spare knuckle on the top of the fuel tank, its rust colored.
Pic 2 & 3, the MU hose, and uncoupling lever, not completely done painting them yet, I need some red for the hose, and white for the uncoupler and for the handrail ends...
*Wow Macro mode really brings out the dust on the walkways, and the light weathering looks much deeper this close! Oh and you can see the uneven paint...*
