I'm new member, registered and logged on but can't edit my profile information. I get the same message others have mentioned... When I go to User CP and :(try to edit my profile, I get a message that says "I don't have permission" to edit that page. I think I followed all the rules, but maybe I've overlooked something. I've left a message on the "Contact Us" screen but haven't heard from anyone. Help!

i think you need a few posts before you can fully edit your profile.

As Irongrave said. Confused me at first also, but I never ask for directions.

ModelBob will get your message he's the administrator. Since you posted here you must be logged on to the site. (you have to be logged on to edit your profile). I don't know of any requirement other than logging on to be able to change your profile so give it another try and let me know how you make out. If it's real important to you and you still can't do it PM me with the details you want to change and I'll see what I can do for you.

Cheers
Willis

Thanks for the info, gents, and for the offers to help.
I've gone to the 'User CP' and everything is working now. I know it wasn't a real important issue, but it bugs me when things aren't working the way they should... then again, maybe it was the way it's supposed to work when you're a new user.
Whatever the case may be, thanks to whoever got it working.
I don't know if I'll ever be able to add anything of value to this forum, but I've been reading it off and on for some time now and think it's a very well run forum with a lot of subjects threads that are interesting and informative. I look forward to participating.
