I have a Life Like docksider in HO scale. It was run once to make sure it worked. It was a gift from a friend, but I don't have a dock to run it on, so I thought I would pass it on to someone who does. It's decaled B&O but can be changed fairly easy. $10 for engine and $3 shipping in US

I LOVE those little steamers!
There is currently two on the NY&W Engine roster and they run quite a bit
around the yard and some parts of the layout.
Glad you were able to find it a new home. :D
Are you at liberty to say which Railroad purchased it????

I don't think it would hurt anyone, It was SDP45. Going to have a bunch of HO rolling stock for sale latter when I get it all orginized.

That little steamer should work great for his railroad. :D

It will be my first powered locomotive in about 5 years. All the rest are gone, so I am starting over with small rolling stock. This fits right in.
I've got the old kit style Walther Oscar and Piker (assembled, need final painting), a logging style caboose, 3 MDC log cars, and on 0-4-0T dummy, which I am going to post a photo of as soon as my camera returns.

I have the Rivarossi version of this docksider, but I have had a decoder inserted and it has been converted into a cab forward and converted to oil. The tender is from MDC and a bit heavy so I use it with two shorties for VIP duty..

The one I'm selling looks just like that one, even the same road and number. Difference is the window frame is red and it didn't come with a tender.

Sounds like a good start.
I've always had a soft spot for smaller engines and rolling stock. :D

Here's a pic of Engine #98 pulling a load of gravel from the bottom of the White Mountain Gravel Company quarry.
#98 is on loan to the WMGC from the New York & Western RR until they can find a replacement for their engine that crashed at the bottom of the quarry
after a rather long downward trip with no brakes!!
The transfer caboose has been added for extra braking.

Hey 97,
I am interested in the place you are taking your shots. Could you post a pulled back shot so as to show the whole thing?

Its roster mate is a 1950s kit. A John English 0-4-0T. Was still new in the box all these years later until last month. The pilot was missing, so I built one with balsa and Athearn caboose ladders.

Here is both of them together. The English steamer is a dummy and has a lot of detail compared to the Dockside.
They do look an awful lot alike. I will be painting the Dockside to match.
