Here's a few pictures taken when we were cutting cast off CWR (ribbon rail) for the CNR in Northern Ontario.

Expansion rail just off of a bridge is designed to allow for shifting rails in temp extremes.
Pump spots, this caused by the weight of the train pushing down on the roadbed and pressing out mud every time a wheel goes over it.
